But certainly do it soon. Rule of thumb for non-synthetic ATF is 25,000 or 2 years to change the pan. Actually, I've found that front wheel drive transmissions are harder on the fluid (heat), and prefer to change what is in the pan every 15,000 miles.
If you change all, or essentially all, of the fluid to synthetic, you can extend the drain interval by a factor of at least 2 and still be safe. I use AMSOIL synthetic ATF, and run a factor of 3 (or sometimes a bit more).
