Amp / Speaker Installation Question Posted by Adam [Email] (#344) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Adam) on Mon, 20 Dec 2004 18:49:05 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Hi All -
I have a 1999 9-3. I recently had a sub installed with a MTX 2-channel amp running it (installed by Circuit City). I had put Infinity speakers in both the doors and the rear shelfs.
I now want to buy a 4-channel amp to run the speakers in the doors and the rear shelf speakers.
My questions are:
1. Can i take the wiring running into the 2-channel amp, and run them into a four channel amp and then "bridge" and two amps together?? or do i have to run seperate wiring "pre-outs" from the head unit agian??
2. I was told that instead of running another line to the battery, I could install a "terminal" in the trunk off the existing line - then connect to the two amps directly? Does this make sense?
Sorry for being so wordy...I have looked at the Saab 9-3 Audio guide many times - but don't believe these questions were answered. Or I don't know what I'm doing....
Thank You in Advance...
