Motor turned over, slowly, fired up, then there was a pop/bang and it died. I tried one more time and it would turn over catch and die. Looked underneath and there was fresh oil dripping off the oil filter (made a puddle about 4-5" in size). I called my mechanic and he thought intercooler hose (the oil being blow by), but it is still on properly and there is no oil coming from the hose. The oil return line from the turbo is "wet" from oil but does not seem to be fresh. As well there is one drip hanging from the oil filter and one drip from the bottom of the oil return line. When the oil was dripping it was primarily coming from oil filter. There is no oil anywhere else on the block or accesories in that area. Actually the block looks surprisingly clean.
Any ideas before the tow truck gets here?
Thank you,
Matthew (who has never had a car towed before, except out of ditches as a teen)
