The Saab amp is a 2-channel 30 watt per channel amp. It has a built-in crossover that filters out frequencies above about 100 Hz. Considering how the stereo is from the factory, there's no need for the head unit to have line-level outputs for the rear channels, or for the DIN cable to have those wires. Saab might have had those put in for some sort of future upgrade they never did, or just for the convenience of the aftermarket (that doesn't happen very often!). The door speakers are different than the rear speakers. They're some sort of high-excursion 6.5" woofers, not two-ways, but I'd hesitate to call them subwoofers, too. They can put out more bass without bottoming out than several $200-$300 pairs of woofers I tried.
