Thanks Dean.....lots of good stuff there!! Just curious, is the T7 a derivative of/based off of a Bosch LH/turbo EFI system or is it purely a Saab home grown EFI?

From this I assume you mean cold ait temps so a "cold air intake" system is pointless for a T7?

So there a a seperate DI-ECU from the main ECU? Not sure I quite understand how the measure of resistance in the plugs can determine knock...any further insight here? My understanding of a more standard knock system (detection of vibrations in cyclanders) just isn't allowing me to understand the workings of the T7.


Do you know the flow rate of the stock injectors (Viggen specifically)?

Do you know what conditions put the T7 into safe/limp mode, besides the TB? I had a check-valve go bad with triggered the CEL and the car seemed to run normally (full boost, etc)

Any insight into why the DI failures are so high (the $1 million dollar question, I know)? Anything beyond proper plugs, gaps, etc to prevent failure? Is Saab doing anything to address the issue? Recall on the horizon?

Do you know the normal timing of the ignition system....timing at idle, full advance, timing at full boost, etc?
