My Viggen was in and out of the shop for about 3 months for various symptoms, from not starting when warm to finally a DI failure.
During that time, in addition to replacing the DI they also replaced the throttle body. Eventually the problem became worse and the car began stumbling. I was able to get it to the dealer where they got a tech-II code for the crank angle sensor. After that my car has been reliable.
While I understand the need to properly diagnose a problem before going hog-wild replacing parts, it's a bit discouraging to the consumer to be told after a SAAB Roadside Assistance tow that they can't find anything wrong, good luck. It's dollars to donuts you'll be getting another tow in the not too distant future. If your car acts up take it straight to the SAAB dealer and if possible don't shut it off until after they've run diagnostics with tech-II - that's what finally got the crank angle sensor code.
Good luck and I feel your pain,
John
