I guess gapping plugs is supposed to be general knowledge. Get a gapping gauge from AutoZone or someplace, it's a set of wires of different thickness. Sometimes it has a little fork thingie (that's a real technical term...) to help you bend the electrode & adjust the gap. The guy at the parts counter will probably show you how to do that. I often tap it with the blunt side of a wrench.

Seems like BCPR6ES plugs only come in 1.1mm gap, that's what the -11 suffix means. If you can find BCPR6ES-9, more power to you.

Plugs are a regular replacement thing. Probably 10k miles for those copper plugs, 30k miles for platinum (PFR6H-10). I think it's a good idea to have a spare DI cassette, but I'm not planning on changing mine on a regular scheduled basis.

Getting a DI cassette on ebay is OK if you trust the seller(!). EEuroparts.com & thesaabsite.com (sponsors) have them. Otherwise you have to go to a dealer.
