Brake fluid reservoir is just forward of the brake pedal, up high on the firewall. Open the hood & look for a little plastic bottle. There's a float-switch for the low-level warning. There's min & max marks on the reservoir. There's probably a picture of it in your owner's manual.
Brake fluid comes in different grades.
DOT1 or 2 ?? Obsolete for 50 years cause I've never seen them??
DOT3 = many modern cars
DOT4 = higher boiling point but mixable with DOT3. Use this in your Saab.
DOT5 = silicone-based DO NOT USE THIS
