My still-warranteed Viggen's rattles are becoming more than I can stand:
- indeterminate rattle around hatch area - dealer assessed spoiler but rattle is still there and to their credit the spoiler is tighter now. Attempt hatch latch adjustment myself or send it back to the dealer?
- rattle ONLY when sunroof open - this seems reverse of other posts I've seen - I assume it's headliner because when I push on the headliner above the right rear passenger seat I get a very loud groan and lots of vertical lift. The plastic turn-tab that allegedly holds the headliner in place doesn't seem to be doing its job. Should it snap into something when I put it in? I understand you put it in one way and then turn it to lock it but it doesn't seem to attach to anything above (ie the roof). I believe this is a major source of noise caused by a H/F phone installer accessing the antenna wiring but hopefully fixable with a new plastic whatever the hell you call those things, or perhaps just proper fitment of the aforementioned whatever you call that thing.
- I've got zip ties around the hinges on the back seats to hopefully keep the hinges quiet but I suspect that the entire seatback is making some noise. I may try the felt that others have tried on the bar around the latching mechanism and wherever plastic meets metal or metal meets metal.
- there are noises up front but sadly some of them seem to be coming from behind the dash near the leftmost vent, and frankly are hard to discern amongst all the rattles coming from behind me.
Ugh . . .
