Water Inleakage in trunk area

I have a '99 9-3 base, and have recently discovered that after heavy rain the passenger side of the trunk compartment is wet. When I lift up the passenger side carpet and the middle carpet they are soaked and there is standing water under the side carpet, on the shekf (before it goes down into the spare tire well). The well that holds the spare tire, however, seems to be dry, so there is not enough water coming in to run down into the spare tire well.
The driver side of the trunk compartment seems to be fine. I am guessing that it is the trunk seal or maybe one of the tailights. The bumper (as well as the driver's side rear quater panel were recently removed for some dent repair.)
Any ideas as to what might be causing the water to come in?
