I don't think the NG 9-3's have either the dual-mode digital or the digital-upgradeable OnStar. if you go to the OnStar website there are a number of FAQ's about the transition. According to OnStar, some 2003's are analog but have the ability to be later upgraded to dual mode-digital. Most 2004's have this capability and some 2005's have this capability. The already active dual-mode digital OnStar was rolled out on some 2003's, many 2004's, most 2005's, and will be on all 2006's. I still haven't gotten a definitive word from anyone as to the status of the 2004 and 2005 SAAB's. OnStar told me that the 2005 SAAB's would already be dual-mode digital capable. That would mean you could use the Verizon single-number-two-phone plan and use the integrated cell phone just like your regular handheld. if anyone has any more detailed information, I'd like to hear.
