Try your auto insurer. Many of the auto insurers are now offering extended warranty coverage on vehicles. I am currently with GEICO and they offer this service. It is very reasonable and covers more than most extended warranties offer. The deductible is rather high ($250), but it covers everything after that. So, it's good for catastrophic-type repairs. The good thing about this coverage is that it is relatively inexpensive. They quoted about $30/six months for coverage on a new 9-3. Other insurers have similar programs. However, YMMV.
You might also check out the website for the Clark Howard Show. Clark is a nationally syndicated consumer advocate. He suggests only going with a manufacturer or insurer for automobile extended warranties. Below is a link to one of his shownotes pages where he talks about automobile extended warranties.
