Much of this dynamic is normal and always more of an issue with the autoboxen. The vehicle is needing to increase combustion air to keep RPMs when loads increase. This causes a torque surge. Worn engine mounts would not help. If RPMs drop quite low, the catch-up will be more pronounced. If that is happening, the throttle and IAC may benefit from cleaning. If the engine does not idle or start well, there may indeed be a contribution from bad plugs and fouled injectors.
