I have this little stretch of empty, windy road I time myself on. I pretty much know enter/exit speeds after about a year of doing this and not being thrown into the pokey for it.
My '02 9-3SE would give me some tire squeal and some dubious entry lines into the curves. My new '04 9-3 Aero is only a little faster, but gives me much more stability when I'm off the brakes. HOWEVER, when I get on the brakes the car seems to sit up and float(!) if I try to steer at all; the old 9-3 wouldn't do this. This is important because I get it up to about 85MPH and have to shave a lot of speed quickly for a turn then get right back on it.
Is this the re-axis system, a weird suspension issue (normal turning and handling is much better than the old 9-3), or just my idiotic driving in general? I was really surprised by this compared to my old 9-3. The new 9-3 Aero brakes seem strong otherwise. Any ideas?
