to make some changes in order to make the car more enjoyable to drive. I'm not talking a ton of mods, just a few things. Specifically:
1. SAS or MP Performance larger rear sway bar ($100 or so)
2. Subframe brace - I've heard from RagTop Tiger that he has a custom brace which virtually eliminates cowl shake! ($200)
3. Steering rack clamp & brace from KIC or MP Performance ($150)
4. Dawes Devices Manual Boost Controller ($43)
Therer are obviously other things I would personally do but this is the starting point from a "bang-for-the-buck" perspective.
In terms of factory options, I have the Cold Weather Package and the Sports Package (rear spoiler & 17" wheels). I live in New England and find the ride with 17s to be tolerable. Replacing the factory Pirellis with max performance 225/45-17s helped a as well from a ride standpoint and made a huge difference in handling.
I'm 6'2" and have no issues with comfort in this car. I also have a 7 and a 1/2 month old and the front leg room is OK for a front seat passenger even with a car seat secured on the passenger side in the backseat. Not great but certainly tolerable for short drives. The backseat in general is a little tight but tolerable for average-sized people for short drives. Overall, a roomy convertible that can be used year-round!
Good luck!
