Like soomeone else stated unfortunantly a 300 treadwear from different manufacturers does not mean they will last the same. There is so-called strict guidelines to determine treadwear however how the specific manufacturer translates that into a number is up to the manufacturer, pretty crappy I think.

My experience with the ES-100's & toyo 4's is from the previous owner installing the 100's on my viggen less then 2000 miles before I purchased the car from him. At that time I was somewhat impressed with the 100's with their grip & overall traction however it was the only tire I had ever used on a viggen. After attending a drivers school I knew the chassis had some flexing issues (use to my spg) & that my 7K mile old 100's were at their end of life so I went to my local shop/wholesaler & asked what they had. The toyo 4 is what they suggested however at that time it was so new that there wasn't much if any info out about it so I tried them. After switching to the 4's the torque steer which I though was just part of the viggen (already had the vrk on the car) was almost eliminated. Traction in all conditions are also much superior & the lack of sidewall flex is also very impressive.

My original idea was to get a set of all season tires to use on my viggen during the fall/winter & use a fun summer tire the rest of the year. However after using these tires I am happy enough with the handling/traction that these are all I need.

sorry for the rambling.....but I would NOT get the ES-100's!!
