I bought my 2001 9-3 about 2 months ago, and I love it to death. Its got 41,000 miles on it at the moment, and just started puffing a LOT of smoke. I wanted to see the extent of it, and floored 3rd gear uphill at about 40mph... It let a smoke screen so thick and long that the headlights of the cars behind me totally disappeared, not only that.. but all the cars actually stopped because I blinded them. I am getting as good as no power, and it is getting worse by the minute.

I am pretty sure this is the turbo dying and eating up all the oil (the exhaust doesnt have a burnt oil smell, instead something far worse, but I guess I have never smelled burnt synthetic).

I have to work and need my car all week, and the dealer cannot get her in until a week from now. Is it safe to drive her a couple hundred miles or will I utterly kill her?

Thank god its still under warranty.
