the response back from Valvoline/Zerex was that G05 and G48 was compatible with each other.

Actually I saved that letter. Here it is copied below.

Mr. Homer,
What type of vehicle do you have? G-05 is compatible with just about everything except Toyota, Volkswagons with red antifreeze, and GM vehicles from 1995 to present. If you have a Chyrsler, Ford, GM pre 1995, BMW, Volvo, Saab, Volkswagon with blue antifreeze, Honda, Nissan, or Mercedes then you should be fine. If you do not have one of the vehicles mentioned please write back and I will find out if G-05 is compatible. However, you can top off G-48 with G-05, they are compatible. Thank you for your question.

PM

I have been using your G-48 in my car. Unfortunately, my local auto parts store no longer carries it. I need to top up my coolant and was wondering if your G-05, which they do carry, is fully compatible with the G-48, or do I need to completely flush and start over?

Note that I have already put about a quart into the system.

Thanks,
