ECU Failure!!!

I had posted a few days ago about a suspected DI Cassette issue and later that day, the car wouldn't start so after pushing the car out of the parking garage with the help of a few co-workers, the car was towed to Saab of Westport.
Interestingly enough, the diagnosis was a "failed ECU". No other real details other than the couldn't get the Tech II to read the ECU so it was replaced under warranty.
It took a few days but at least I have my car back although it is still surging (missing?) in all gears. For example, on the highway in 4th and floor it and the boost gauge will fluctuate all over the yellow zone of the boost gauge. Is this a function of the new ECU and its need to "re-learn" my driving habits and go through a few adaption cycles? I still think I have a DI Cassette issue but the dealer asked me to wait a few days before bringing the car back which I'm happy to do. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance,
Derek
