genuinesaab.com used to offer rear EBC for the 9-5 read axle. I don't see that offered anymore. So I don't see an EBC option for you. There was not one years ago when I put EBC on my 95SET front brakes. On the rear I then used Axxis (?) metalmasters. All worked well.

The EBCs have a problem it seems if you don't do some severe braking from time to time to get the rotors hot enough to burn off organics from the rotors and pads. Otherwise you can risk oganic deposits on the rotor that feel like a warped rotor, and it you don't burn that off promptly, uneven heating can probably lead to a truely warped disk. (done that)

With my 95SET the EBC's felt dangerous. After some agressive braking they firmed up extremely the relaxed a bit over a few days of normal driving. I feel that the recommendations in the link are quite extreme. You need some hot bedding in, but perhaps not burning in. I really feel that with EBC's that no agressive bedding in is asking for trouble. if the brakes feel weak or spongy when installed, you really need to put the heat to them. When they are ready, you will feel it. The ultimate braking effort, as always, will be limited by your tires.

New pads on four corners at once will make for mushy brakes. So perhaps there is a good reason to not do all in one weekend. New pads feel spongy because the cut pad surface (at the rotor) is torn up. Bedding in consolodates this surface material.
