In Canada, the owners manual calls for a major service at 96000 kilometers(approx.60000 miles). This includes replacing the timing belt and I'm not sure what else. Price at the dealer is 1100 dollars Canadian(approx. 7 or 800 U.S.). I bought my car from a high end reseller lot in Toronto. My salesman advised me that they service many of the cars they sell and their door rate is 65% of the Saab dealerships in the area. While I suggest treading carefully if taking this route,my present thinking is that if they service Porshe,Ferrari and Mercedes, they can handle my Saab. I would note that service area is immaculate, they detailed my car before pickup and looked after me. Hope this helps.
