First and foremost, very rarely is the wheel sensor at fault (except early 9000) and if it is, it's easy to check with the Tech 2 scanner. No need to throw parts at the car to test with.
As you understand now the problem is intermittent and can be a bear to find if the dealer don't have any insider information as to "when this fault code occur, do this".
I haven't encountered any problems yet myself with the newer Saabs ABS system but I wouldn't be surprised if it is a glitch in the ABS computer.
As a foot note.
If ABS code 314 (right/rear wheel sensor) shows up on a Volvo 850/70. ALL Volvo mechanics KNOWS that the ABS computer is bad. That's just the way it is.
So if the dealer have never encountered this problem before, it can take a lot of test driving before they find the problem and if it turns out to be the ABS computer it is a one piece deal with the hydraulics that cost $2500.00.
