Regarding my post earlier this week (thanks to all who replied) I called the District Manager twice and after threatening to call an attorney he called me back and said he wanted to see the car. He took me underneath the 9-3 and let me see it. They really did a bad job trying to seal the pan after messing up the threads earlier this year. They had some kind of sealer all over the bottom of the oil pan and it looked gunked up because of all the leaking oil. He said he wanted to try to expand the hole and re-tap the threads and put in a bigger plug. I was alittle apprehensive but I said "OK, just stop the leak."
He worked on it for about 15 minutes and came into the waiting area and said "I just cracked the oil pan and the car is un-drivable." He said they need to find a new pan and put it in. After the cursing was over with, the manager arranged for a beautiful four door 2004 Ford Focus rental car. This thing can't even get out of it's own way much less no heated seats this morning when I walked out to a bone chilling -7 degrees here in Wisconsin. I haven't heard yet today if they have found a new oil pan, but if I don't hear anything by this afternoon, I'll be calling them yet again. I don't want to drive the Focus over the weekend! Thanks for letting me vent on the board!
