If the problem goes away, the price is very reasonble. Posted by SWEDECAR [Email] ![]() ![]() ![]() In Reply to: Check Engine Light, karen, Mon, 17 May 2004 08:05:03 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
If they are just shooting in the dark and later getting back to you saying "well, this time you need this repair" than it is expensive.
This type of problems are the worst to find and fix. It can be as easy as a broken vacuum hose or loose wire (that you find instantly) or as they say a poorly ground connection junction (somewhere in the car?) where multiple wires are spliced in and grounded.
The time to "repair" the problem can be 5 min but the time to "find" it can be weeks. And after the repair they might have to drive the car for days just to verifie that the repair was succesful.
I would also look very carefully into the parts that was installed at the 60K service so that they didn't use substandard spark plugs or filters.
Today's over sensitive cars don't like aftermarket parts of questionable quality.
