Viggen Steering Wheel Vibrations - Resolved

This is for Rag Top Tiger and Drew in Houston, as they had a bit of a wager as to what the situation was with my Viggen. If I remember correctly, the bets were:
Rag Top: CV joint
Drew in Houston: Wheel bearings
Well, after a test drive with my mechanic, doing some sharp lock to lock turns, and then a jaunt on the highway, he took it back to the shop to check things out. Results:
- No problem with the wheel bearings.
- CV joints are in acceptable condition.
SO what does that leave? The fall back for any vibration problem - wheel balancing. Well, I was certain that I had my wheels balanced when I put my summer tires back on, but sure enough, using the Hunter 9700 balancing system, they found that my left front tire was not just a bit out of balance, but WAY out of balance.
They balanced the tires for real cheap seeing as I had them done just a couple months before, albeit not on a Hunter as I later found out.
So, problem solved. No vibrations to speak of. My satisfaction level has returned to where it had been before. So much so I took the car out for a drive last Sunday morning.
Thanks for the help!
