I have been waiting for some help on this topic. The former owner of my 99 Viggen had also changed everything, he took all the speaker out wires from the deck and had them split into RCA lines and ran them to the trunk. So now the front speakers and the rear speakers only are capable of being ran by amps. although i dont know what he did with the door speakers. im just assuming he kept those coming from the stock amp that originally runs them. He put the stock speakers back in (what a nice guy huh) and took all the amps and what not so i had zero system. I installed a crap 4 channel amp for the mean time to run the front dash and the rear 6X9's and he also split a line for a sub input. So i added another amp to run a sub. (he made 2 power & grounds which is nice) and hooked the sub lines to a volume control knob. so my problem is finding speakers that fit the holes that the viggen has. the ones i have now sound like crap and sometimes i get the turn off pop. but just recently i haven't been getting it but my speakers are acting weird, sometimes the right dash just cuts out. i may be putting to much juice or something for the speakers so they may be getting fried. But i plan on changing the speakers and wonder if JL Audio is that good? I planned on infinity speakers but dont know if they would fit. any more help would be great, it sounds ok now but i had a sweet system in my old car and now i have to deal with crap. Thanks for anything...
