I got this numbers from some DMV/Insurance company data. it contains every possible VIN numbers for the viggen.
Also, I've collected some numbers last couple of years with salvage title VINs and parted out car by owner.
Currently(as of Jan 20th) registered numbers are talking about owner's registration renewal in last 13 months.
According to VIN, my 2001 Convertible is about 70X th out of 737. (So, Almost very last vin.)
There're some correction of the production/sold unit from data we know.
1999: 3-door > 423 Imported/Sold (YS3DP3***X*******)
Currently 345 has valid plate, 23 Scrap title, 16 Salvage , 3 clear with part out.
2000: Convrt > 244 Imported/Sold (YS3DP7***Y*******)
Currently 285 has valid plate, 10 Scrap title, 22 Salvage , 5 clear with part out.
2000: 3-door > 138 Imported/Sold (YS3DP3***Y*******)
Currently 301 has valid plate, 11 Scrap title, 13 Salvage , 3 clear with part out.
2000: 5-door > 422 Imported/Sold (YS3DP5***Y*******)
Currently 355 has valid plate, 17 Scrap title, 20 Salvage , 2 clear with part out.
2001: Convrt > 737 Imported/Sold (YS3DP7***1*******)
Currently 649 has valid plate, 32 Scrap title, 28 Salvage , 9 clear with part out.
2001: 3-door > 129 Imported/Sold (YS3DP3***1*******)
Currently 111 has valid plate, 7 Scrap title, 5 Salvage , 2 clear with part out.
2001: 5-door > 283 Imported/Sold (YS3DP5***1*******)
Currently 345 has valid plate, 9 Scrap title, 18 Salvage , 3 clear with part out.
2002: Convrt > 321 Imported/Sold (YS3DP7***2*******)
Currently 276 has valid plate, 16 Scrap title, 25 Salvage , 2 clear with part out.
2002: 3-door > 70 Imported/Sold (YS3DP3***2*******)
Currently 63 has valid plate, 3 Scrap title, 2 Salvage , 0 clear with part out.
2002: 5-door > 155 Imported/Sold (YS3DP5***2*******)
Currently 109 has valid plate, 8 Scrap title, 15 Salvage , 1 clear with part out.
The data I got is for some other marketing use. but it's most updated numbers and it includes canada numbers.
there are some unmatching calculation like currently registration + scrap + salvage + parts out vehicle. but since there are some vehicles that exported to outside U.S and somebody put the vehicles in the barn or something that doesn't have valid license plate on it.
Also, some of units are registered as crash test vehicle and some other test vehicle. that doesn't include scrap salvage or current registered vehicle.
