a 2002 9-3 se...

I've never had to personally replace headlights on a car yet, and so I'm not sure if this just means I need to get new headlights, or if something else is wrong..

Yesterday after getting my oil changed at a saab dealer I noticed later in the day that my passengerside headlight wasn't working, I was getting a front light failure error... the other headlight was working though.

then today, on the way home, I notice the driver side headlight seems to be very dim and almost not working... (just a faint orange glow when looking at it).

My fog lights work fine, and the lights coming from the tips of the turn signals work fine..

also when I put on the brights, those work as usual.. (is that just a different bulb inside each headlight?)

So I'm just wondering, did both of my main headlights just burn out at about the same time, or should I be thinking its an electrical problem and looking for other symptoms??
