There is not any brand that is better for this than others - every tire company usually has both kind of tires. I worked with BMW as a test driver and I know that they tested for this rut wander. I imagine that other Euro car companies do too.
The truck ruts are much worse in Europe because over there a lot of trucks do not have dual tires - they have what is called "Super Singles" - kinda like the front tire on a cement truck. These tires put more weight in a narrower part of the road than a dual axle does.
If you can find a tire that you know is OE on a BMW then it should be OK for rut wander. All BMW approved tires have a STAR on the sidewall (I mean a star symbol). Also, most tire dealers have a list of the tire codes for tires that are OE for the different car companies. I know that most BMW sizes should be similar with Saab sizes.
