Did you buy it CPO..... Posted by Mike Lynch [Email] (#81) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Mike Lynch) on Mon, 31 Jan 2005 10:40:58 In Reply to: CPO car, but no extended warranty?, Vinnie, Mon, 31 Jan 2005 01:50:19 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Did you buy it used from a Saab dealer? You can delete the CPO part of the factory warranty and save $1,200 on the purchase price, is that what you did?
Once a car is purchased as CPO, there's no deleting it to subsequent owners. And no refund possible. Unlike a privately purchased extended warranty. Once in effect, which happens at the time of a used sale at a Saab dealer, a CPO can't be cancelled or refunded. The CPO coverage goes with the car regardless of the owner.
I have friends who run an independent used car lot and they pretend CPO their cars. The call them Certified, but it's not the factory plan. A non factory plan is just an extended warranty policy that can be cancelled and refunded.
A car can only be Saab factory CPO "in conjunction wiht a sale".
