The electric brake servo vacuum pump runs for 3 second when engine is (1)started/runing, (2)foot on brake, (3)foot off of gas and intake manifold pressure (MAP sensor) (4)above 58KPa. The engine ECU controls the relay for the pump. WIS does not indicate that it will run routinely, but if you ever were stopping and the above 4 conditions were satified, then the pump would run for another 3 seconds max. So when the manifold vacuum is not low enough, the pump kicks in for a moment to draw down the pressure in the booster chamber. WIS does not say what would happen if the pressure did not get below 58 kPa in 3 seconds. Perhaps there is a CEL for that situation. The pump has three diodes to reduce the voltage that is sees. This does suggest that this pump is for intermittant duty only if they do not like it seeing full battery voltage for 3 seconds at a time. A typical diode has a voltage drop of around 0.6 volts. The pump has a 10 amp fuse, #4 in the under hood fuse box.

This pump is used only with the turbo automatic applications. I do not know what range of years had these. T7 automatics have a mechanical pump driven off the the camshaft where the distributors used to go.

With new pads, these need to be 'bedded in'. That can be done in a hurry with some agressive repeated stops that will heat the pads and the rotors.

You replaced pads on a four corners so you know that all of the calipers are moving ok?
