The Saab dlr here has washed my car down to about -5°F and I see no ill effects. I let him know that I park it in the garage. I think the only icing damage from washing cars in cold temps is when ice forms on seals & in locks.
I open all doors & wipe the seals ( the rubber) & if possible let them air dry in the garage overnight. Also when the car is warm enough. I open the sunroof to allow that seal to dry out. It's made some atrange noises coming back from skiing when I'm sweaty.
To keep locks clear, I open slightly with the edge of the key & blow like hell into the slot. I haven't had any troublewith them, despite the hot air I'm accused of blowing. d;-)
