Although I did hurry into the nearest gas station!
As mentioned, it is an approximation, although I would think that they may want to under approximate. Not sure if there is any 'reserve' left, and I don't really want to find out!
As most will probably remember, this was in a Seinfeld episode where Kramer took the car with the Salesman to test it out. He wanted to see how far he could go since he may borrow it and not want to spend the money to fill it up. It also included the 'candy lineup' (all Twixes - sp? - if I remember correctly), and Elaine's boyfriend - 'The high-five' Saab salesman (Sorry Mike Lynch). According to him, all the extra charges were 'made-up.'
I knew a lot of people out there were thinking this, so I figured I would be the one to type it up. Kramer and the salesman didn't know how much gas was left because 'the needle broke off!' I guess they must have had the SID I, or perhaps the pixels were out?!
