When we orginall came out with the clamp we used a product that had the adhesive already on the back of the rubber. The rubber was rated to the application, but for some reason it failed on some units in long term use.
We then changed to another adhesive that our European distribitor claimed worked great, but soon found out that this adhesive did not work. On a side note this distributor no longer represents us due to them taking peoples money for units and not delivering the products. This is still going on as late as last month. If you are affected by this type of fraud please contact us ASAP so we can try to work out something in your favor.
We then changed to a Loctite 4203 industrial adhesive. It is rated to 2500psi and 400F, it simply does not fall off. The rubber will break apart before it comes off the clamp. We have been using this adhesive now for well over six months. If problems with the earlier adhesive occur we replace it with the new adhesive and send a new unit to the customer asap. If someone tried to find this 4203 adhesive in a store you simply can not, and if you could it sells for $400 per pound and this is why we supply the new units to the customers at no charge.
