I have a 2002 HOT (stage 2). I'd have bought a vig but the SE was a great deal ($11700). I needed a hatchback when we got a dog, and I hate SUVs.
I had a Z3 3.0i but it became impractical after I got married, why am I telling you this? Well I was going to buy an S2000 originally, having previously had a Civic Si. They really are great cars. The only thing that swung it for me was the slightly larger trunk, free BMW servicing and 100k warranty, plus that wonderful i-6 engine note and obviously the torque the S2000 was lacking.
You can't begin to compare the Viggen to a RWD 2 seater IMHO. They are such different beasts. For a weekend car I would take the S2000 everytime. Even over the Z3, if it was just a weekend car, sod the torque and trunk lol!
