The crankshaft postition sensors go bad and don't work when hot, but ok when cooled down again. Often after a stop for a short while went temperature of senor can rise.
How old is the DIC? If original (date sticker on bottom), then you really need to replace anyways and retire the old for an emergency spare.
Many purge valves respond to cleaning with WD-40. Other cleaners may also work well. The hose from purge valve to the TB is known to crack or split, have a look. But the T5 system is quite immune to such a leak as this will simply increase idle speed and the mixture should not change. If the hose to the MAP has a leak, then you will have very serious mixture control issues.
