3 vs 5..... Posted by Mike Lynch [Email] ![]() ![]() In Reply to: Re: 9-3SS vs 9-3SE...., penelope, Sat, 5 Mar 2005 16:52:53 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
It's no coincidence that Saab nomenclature corresponds to our major competitor 3 and 5 series BMW's. 9-3's and 3 series have adequate back seats, but some compromise is required between front and rear. 9-5's and 5 series have much roomier, no compromise back seats. There's also C class and E class Merecedes, A4 and A6 Audis, S60 and S80 Volvo's. All the Europeans make at least two classes of sedans.
With Saabs the 9-5 is very traditional Saab, the dash harkening to the 900 series all the way back to 1979. A 2005 9-5 is a the 7th model year of the design. A 9-5 is almost retro. A 9-3 is fresh, new and state of the art and beyond. 9-3 SportSedans are only in their 3rd year of production.
