What needs to be 'ported' is the throttle body transition casting (TBTC). We really do not want to talk anyone into grinding out the throttle body! TBTC small end needs the porting. The big end does not, general smoothing is good where you can reach. TBTC in stock form creates so much turbulance, that when ported, the engine is more powerful and smoother at the same time. That seems a bit strange at first. The turbulance was creating noise in the amount of charge air getting into the cylinders, and the AF misture would have had noise as well. Smooth is good. The idiot that designed that TBTC should be taken out back and put up against the wall.... along with the guy who did the hard cat converter hanger, and the guy who put the thick rubber bushings in to hold the small steering rack. So there is three to go at least. :)
Some 1999's had the turbo compressor discharge silencer, some did not. Only way to tell is to remove the lower 2" aluminum hard pipe and look to see if its in that pipe or not. (1999 HOT models have the Viggen IC, and did not have that hard pipe and so the silencer was not a possibility.)
