Hey all, I have a reoccurring problem with my 2001 9-3. Before I call the dealer, thought I would run this past a wider & probably wiser audience.
Some History:
Took car into dealer 2 weeks ago for several problems. Before the car left, the dealer:
1. Replaced the DI Cassette (computer showed possible future failure... no problems, but they did it anyway),
2. Did the Service bulletin for improved/modifying PCV system to correct oil leaks (head Gasket, main front seal, turbo area).
3. Replaced Throttlebody (check engine light came on, no idle control, cruise went out and TCS off light came on)
The problem is that there is once again oil seeping out of the throttlebody/intake manifold area, as well as possibly out of the two vaccum ports on the engine side of the TB. As I look at the TB, I THINK the culprit is the intake side of the TB (top). Oil seepage is bad enough to drip onto exhaust pipe and produce oil burning smell.
I'd really like to get this fixed BEFORE the warranty is out (3800 miles) any ideas?
I have TWO. First, that maybe the turbo is pushing oil through the bearings?? If this is true, I NEVER see any of the telltale blue smoke on startup, hard acelleration of after sharp throttle on/off/on. Second is that there may be some other PCV/check valve thing going on?
Thanks All
Steve
