Sounds very much like the DI death.
But try to start the car again in a couple of hours (when cold). If it starts up it could also be the CKP sensor (crank shaft position sensor).
When that one goes bad it goes down with heat and comes back to life when cold.
Don't crank the car for too long though, if it doesn't start right away, don't bother.
If you keep on cranking the engine over, you pass a lot of gasolin right through the engine and that can kill the catalytic converter.
