It might be the springs inside clutch disc that start to get tired (sloppy) creating a noise when the clutch is engaging.
Those springs are there to create a smoother clutch engagement.
A Saab mechanic can probably verify if that is the noise, but the only cure is to take the transmission down and replace the clutch.
If it is infact one of those springs the risk of driving the car for too long is that the spring can come loose and get trapped between the flywheel and clutch, making the car almost undrivable.
