I had the Eibach springs on my 9-3 and found the ride actaully BETTER and the cars manners better too. I'm back to the stock springs because I lived in an area of NH with giant frost-heaves and pot-holes but I wish I left them in.
This is actually what gave me the idea of lots of weight in the back. If you look, the car of the car is more planted with the Eibach springs and they are progressive so small bumps don't affect the car so much, especially when there is nothing in the trunk. Compare the Eibach to the stock springs in the rear and you'll see what I mean. The stock rear ones are tall and rather stiff so the back end is up high and is bumpy. It feels like it's the front but it's really from the back.
Eibach is a great way to go here.
