That sounds reasonable to me. But the DIY diehards, be they self reliant or simply tight with their money, will be happy to spend a day doing this work. But you will need to phone around to see if anyone will quote a lower price, whatever anyone here says about the cost.
Does the shop have experience with this work on Saabs?
You will not need an alignment with this work. Have the tierod ends, ball joints and control arm bushings checked out as part of the work. If the bushings at the subframe points (4) are ever replaced, toe-in really needs to be checked and adjusted if needed. That been said, some severe pot hole action or lateral impact on the front wheels can throw the toe-in off, as well as change the non-adjustable camber.
Some shops will be happy to reuse some of the nuts, with or without loctite blue, and others might insist on new nuts. Many folks here have reused and we have never seen any issues with this. Some of the factory recommedations are lawyer driven.
The large axle shaft nut in the middle of the hub has very high torque levels. This should be removed with the wheel/tire on the ground. I would not feel good about a big impact wrench being used with the transmission in gear. That impact action might be damaging.
