I think it's wrong to assume that Viggen pistons are breaking because they are driven harder. Not all Viggens are driven hard and still suffer from some major malfunction....as mine cracked under normal acceleration. I think you have to look at the differences between the cars. T7 vs.T5 and I know Viggens do however suffer from poor venting temps under the hood. These are still not entirely relevent on their own to warrant a cracked piston. It would be nice if SAAB would help with diagnosing this issue but until the royal we have a voice it will most like go undetected and fixed at the owners expense.
