Since I'm likely the most recent candidate for new pistons, I'll let you know what I've been doing with the car.

The car is completely stock. Since I bought the car last May I've only put 92/93 (highest available) octane from Chevron exclusively. The only thing I can think of relating to the piston failure is the day before it happened I heard knocking under boost/acceleration(first and only time I have heard this). It may have cracked then/before or later....not sure. Complete failure the following day under acceleration in 4th at 65-70mph. Prior to the complete failure a CEL light came on. I will get this checked once I tow the car next week some 300++ miles to the shop. It may be bad gas...or a lean-out scenerio.....???? Should I get it analyzed??? I've still got a bunch left... Where do you send this stuff????

Wish I knew more about these engines to help diagnose this...because I(we) would really like to know what to avoid to prevent this from happening again. I'm going to try SAAB USA one more time for some help with this issue...
