How long did the mis firing go on before the DI died?
Let me suggest the following:
You are already $1180 in the hole. Now consider a stage III performance mod. The cost for that is $1948. That is only $768 more than just getting a replacement cat/down-pipe from the dealer. You can install a downpipe and exhaust your self, or take it to a muffler shop or indy if you must.
The stage III gets you a modified ECU, JR filter, new turbo intake pipe, 3" sports cat down pipe and a 3" cat back exhaust system. You go from 185HP to 241HP and from 194 ft.lb to 300 ft.lb
I know that its a lot of money, but its not often that a stage III is only $768 away.
So what dealer charged you $750 to install a new DI?
