Don't shy away from Viggens; they're terrific cars. But this one is either a lemon or has led a tragic life.
I bought my 2000 used almost 3 yrs ago and have had none of the problems listed. Other than routine maintenance, I've only had minor niggles like a rear seat rattle, a broken outside temp sensor, worn out exhaust flex pipe, etc. Overall a short list of small stuff.
Look for a different Viggen. I'd recommend finding one that 100% stock. A car with an aftermarket ECU, for instance, may have been subjected to more stress than it was designed to handle. Good luck--
