My 2001 Viggen will not go into REVERSE unless the engine is OFF !!!
When I try to get it into reverse, the shift is "blocked" just like 1st gear is blocked from 2nd gear at 15 MPH.....that is the best way to discribe it. And twice, I got it in, but the gears ground (terrible noise). All Five forward gears are difficult to get into -- similar "blocking" but I was able to get it to the Dealer. They had a loaner for me, and the service folks will get to it on Monday.
I do drive very hard, and something could have been rattled loose last night on a bumpy dirt road, with potholes (I went a little too fast and hard). The car is at 64000 miles, under extended warranty.
Can anyone offer advice, or diagnosis... Does this happen ofter / ever?
