If you can take the front and rear wheels off the bike then you can fit the frame. Put an old bed sheet or blanket on top of the frame and put the wheels on top of the blanket or bed sheet.

I use to road race bicicle lonnnnnnggggg time ago and I had a Toyota Corolla 1982 and I will put my 59cm Colnago bike on the trunk. The trunk of the Toyota Corolla was a lot smaller than the Saab 9-3 hatch without droping the back seat.
