I have so far come across 2 different remedies. One being that I find a new shortblock, put forged pistons in it, resurface the head, 4 new valves and put it all back together between $4k-$5k. Or 2) Saab is willing to listen and sympathies with my problem and offer some type of goodwill.

Neither have come forth yet but those are the options. Regardless, the outcome will result in a better engine with stronger pistions, and a better sense of dealing with this car. I think SAAB is aware of the problems with the Viggen but it seems like non of the dealer have a clue. I think its been swept under the carpet.
WHen its all over I'll post my experience. Probrobly another 1-1/2 months until its on the road.

Keep your paperwork just in case....even if you change your own oil.
